The NACM Connecticut Inc. is delighted to extend an invitation to all members to apply for an educational
scholarship. The Scholarship Committee voted to authorize an aggregate of $1,500 in available
scholarship money to be used toward a local, regional or national course in credit management.
Members are encouraged to take advantage of this offer because of the diverse educational resources available
to them. Scholarship(s) winners can use the awarded funds against the fees and expenses incurred for any credit
management course or the upcoming NACM Credit Congress and Exposition in Orlando, FL. Scholarship(s) will be
awarded based on the below criteria.
Members who have an interest in this scholarship offer are required to send a letter of application on
company letterhead outlining:
The reason for their interest
The applicant’s expected use of knowledge acquired
The additional benefit the scholarship will provide in terms of their professional development as a credit professional.
A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s immediate supervisor should also accompany the application.
The supervisor’s letter should briefly outline the benefit the member company expects to realize if the applicant is
selected. Winner(s) will be reimbursed upon submission of an expense report to the NACM Connecticut Scholarship
Committee.
Letters of application are to be no more than one page in length from both the supervisor and applicant. If longer
than one page the letters will not be taken into consideration.
NACM Connecticut Inc members who are interested in the scholarship(s) should submit their letter of application and
supporting supervisor recommendation to the NACM Connecticut office in Glastonbury, CT.
Scholarship winners will be notified by the committee. Application paperwork must be received by 60 days before
course or seminar date in the Glastonbury office for the scholarship(s) being offered.
Finally, NACM Connecticut looks forward to receiving your entries and encourages applicants to be as original as possible.
